Books to grow by.

From seed to oak — stories that open doors, at any age.

the name

Akarn — Old Norse for acorn.

Akarn is an independent publishing house, born in Brussels, with a Nordic soul. The name is the old word for the seed of the oak — small in the hand, an entire forest in waiting.

We publish books to open doors: quests for grown-ups, and tales for children. Different readers, one craft — to plant a story and watch it grow.
